How does Sundance go about letting you know that your film has been accepted? the website says they announce the competition films on November 28th. Ive heard they call that day. But, would they call you any sooner than that?
They called us three weeks ago requesting another dvd copy of our film. The Programmer said that they screened our movie "STATISTICS" , then went to have a Second Screening and the dvd would not play all the way through. so they wanted a new dvd ASAP.
How many times do they "Screen" a movie before they make a decision if our movie is selected?
If you have time , I would love it if you check out "STATISTICS" Trailor- http://rebelimage.com/statistics/
we are also on the IMDB. We are really proud of our film. we hope it touches peoples hearts and minds worldwide.
Please let me know about those Questions. Thank you very much. peace- Mikael Paul - Paulyspacy@sbcglobal.net

It's unlikely that you'll hear anything ahead of the selection announcement (as there is too much of a risk that someone will spill the beans ahead of time if they do tell you).

The number of times a movie is watched during the selection process will vary depending on how likely they are to select it. The selection process involves a multi-tier system where a set of films are provided to one selector, who then compiles a short-list, from which other members of the selection team watch. The final list of films is determined by consensus amongst the team (overseen by the programming and festival directors).
